It’s only 11 minutes, but they both sat through the entire thing without making so much as a peep. Afterwards, I launched into a mini-lecture with stories that ranged from Queen Elizabeth’s army service to Jeanne d’Arc.

How true this statement is to me is almost sickening. (Though I usually point to the lovely ladies of the Soviet Union during WWII, especially the snipers.)

From Wiki: “There was also concern that, in aviation, the female body is not as adept at handling the increased g-forces experienced by combat pilots; in fact, there is now evidence that the male body is less able to handle the g-forces than the female body: women are less likely to black out due to shorter blood vessel routes in the neck.”
Science.
(Plus women are shorter/more compact, on average, and therefore can fit and maneuver in smaller cockpits…(although technically they won’t be cockpits anymore.))

There’s usually been women in the army, they just usually aren’t on the front lines of combat in the United States.
